NEW YORK, NY | October 23, 2023 – The Toy Foundation™ (TTF) is calling on play enthusiasts to be a part of toy history and cast their votes for the Toy of the Year® (TOTY®) Awards People’s Choice award, which is solely determined by consumer votes. The People’s Choice award winner will be unveiled on November 20 along with the winner of the prestigious Toy of the Year award — just in time for peak holiday shopping.

Visit ToyAwards.org to see the complete list of finalists and vote for your favorite toy or game through November 10.

Representing the most creative, imaginative, and fun products on store shelves, the previously announced 122 TOTY Awards finalists span 17 product categories, including Collectible, Grown-Up and Preschool Toy of the Year, among others. Toy Association member companies, retailers, and media previously helped determine the category winners, which were revealed at the 2023 TOTY Awards celebration in September. All finalists and category winners are currently in the running for the People’s Choice award. (Note: The Toy of the Year Award winner is determined by a panel of industry experts who consider votes, verified sales data, and media buzz in making their decision.)

As consumers cast their vote online, they can also browse the list of TOTY Awards finalists to get inspiration for personal wish lists or help selecting gifts for loved ones. There are options for everyone, from infants to adults, along with links to purchase to make holiday shopping easier than ever. Consumers can also look for the TOTY Awards seal when shopping to know the product is among the best of the year.

“Our 2023 Toy of the Year Awards finalists and winners represent the best of the best, creating endless joy through play,” said Pamela Mastrota, executive director of The Toy Foundation. “As you’re shopping and see the TOTY Awards seal, that also signifies the company is committed to supporting children in need through The Toy Foundation.”

TTF is the uniting force for the collective philanthropy of the toy industry for the benefit of all children in need. The TOTY Awards are a critical fundraiser for TTF to support its programs distributing toys to children, supporting play therapy programs in children’s hospitals, and developing the next generation of diverse talent for the industry.
