The Toy Bank Delivers the Benefits of Play through Your Donations

the toy bank event distributing toys to kidsApril 15, 2024 | Every child should have the opportunity to experience the benefits of play, and The Toy Bank places toys donated by the industry into the hands of children in greatest need. Through a network of 3,000 qualified nonprofit organizations, The Toy Bank has delivered play to more than 31.5 million children in local communities and around the world since 2003.

Hope for New York is a partner of The Toy Bank focused on serving poor and marginalized communities in New York City through its programming and own affiliate network of 60 micro-local nonprofit organizations serving all five boroughs. Last year, the organization distributed more than 33,000 toys to over 7,000 children and families, largely in part due to the industry’s generosity through The Toy Bank.

“There was one family from Egypt – one mother with five children – who had only been in New York for a week, and they were so grateful to receive new toys,” shared a Hope for New York affiliate, Urban Hope.

“The majority of the families we serve are migrants who have had everything taken away from them. One parent came up to me stating that without our event, they could never have provided their children with these toys. They were so happy,” shared another Hope for New York affiliate called 9 Million Reasons.

The Toy Bank is the industry’s turnkey corporate social responsibility solution to deliver toys, the incredible developmental benefits of play, and immense joy to children in need. In combining contributions from small, medium, and large companies, the industry can have a greater collective impact to support children in need.

Individual and calendarized product donations of any size are welcome. The Toy Bank will pick up the donation for free, provide an acknowledgement letter for tax purposes, and report back its impact. To make a donation, complete a donation form and submit it to TTFInfo@ToyFoundation.org.
